Organic Shade Grown
The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance of our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from the that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island.
