Malie the Mano

Malie the Mano is quiet and shy, so timid in nature and no one knew why. Her cousins and brother think she is different and strange from the other sharks and tease her for it. Malie decides to become more like her family, forcing herself to become someone she is not. Discouraged and depressed, she swims into the depths of the ocean, seeking answers for why she isn’t like everyone else.

Malie the Mano is a story about a young shark who is different, but doesn’t know why. Despite trying to change herself for her family, futilely attempting to become something else just discourages her. It’s only through the love of her father and the kind words from a friendly crab that Malie is able to love and accept herself.
