The Aloha shirt is a style of dress shirt originating in Hawaiʻi. It is thought that the Aloha shirt was first sold at Musashi-ya Shoten, a store in Honolulu, established by Japanese immigrant, Chōtarō Miyamoto in 1904. It was his son, Kōichirō Miyamoto, who sewed the first Aloha shirt using Japanese kimono fabrics.
