Talk story with Uncle Johnny Yu of Ka’a’awa while he teaches the foundation of knotting for Hawaiian style throw net. Come in to start learning how to make a crab, throw, or decorative net and listen to the great stories he shares about growing up in the 1930ʻs while teaching each student this special trait he picked up as an 8-year-old boy in Punaluʻu, Oʻahu.

Materials needed are 2 hiʻa (shuttles) and #3 or #10 crochet thread.
While there is no fee for this class, tips are highly encouraged, and go towards Uncleʻs gas.
