Hawaiian Seaweed Collection
Limu is the Hawaiian word for seaweed or algae. They are found in abundance around the shores of the Hawaiian islands. Limu has been used as medicine, in religious ceremonies and as food. I became fascinated with these delicate designs and began to collect and press specimens of limu after arriving in the islands in 1970.
